Sketchbook Cover

This is the cover of a hard-covered sketchbook I made as one of the assignments. It involved a method, of whose name i cannot recall, where you paint the image you want except for the black areas. Then, you paint over the entire thing with ink and wash off the ink in the painted areas, being careful not to wash off all your paint with it which I ended up doing somewhat with the green background. Next you wrap the work around cardboard pieces ( one for both sides and the spine of the book) then hot glue sewed together pages in and cover pages to hold the pages in place. I'm not sure why the scanner made it come out so dim, it might have to do with the gloss matte finish i sprayed on it... Oh well, maybe I'll upload a picture of it as well to show you all its truer color. Or maybe not. I don't know.
